RE: Can anyone tell me what this might be??

This style of tank could have another application on some other product line. It might be used then and the ones used on tt might be plugged the same way....John

electric brakes

When I got to the camp ground today, I noticed that there was some black dust around each wheel hub on the lead axel. I think it must be from the brake pads. Is this a sign of something other than some adjustment needed? I felt the hubs and there wasn't any heat build up. The dust is just around the hub itself.....thanks....John

RE: Sewer modification's

I have never tried the seasonal thing. I am sure someone can advise you about leaving your black tank valve closed untill you are ready to empty it into your sewer. I know this is the way it is done when overnighting. From all I have read, if you leave it open all the time, you may have trouble with it draining and with oder.

Really, Really in the dark

I am interested in getting a dish for my camper. I currently only have the antenna on the TT. I am looking to cancle my comcast cable and going with a satilite service. I would like to know> If I go with Direct TV what will I need to purchase in order to get Direct TV in my camper? The more I read the more questions I have. I don't want to get into this and find out later that I have to spend allot of money to get it to work while on the road. If I have a list of what I need then I can decide what I should do before I make the call to Direct TV. Also, is Direct TV or some other company the better way to go? I know there are going to be different opinions out there and I will be reading all of them. Thank you for your replies and time...John

RE: Closing up the trailer for the winter - moisture & mice?

I have used those fabric sheets that you put in your dryer with your clothes? I don't know what you call them but they seem to work so far.

RE: Gas ?????????

It seems to be the American way any more. Stick to who ever they can, when they can. I'm talking oil and government.....There is no reason to believe it is going to get any better very soon. I guess we are too busy taking care of other countries, that will, in the long run stick it to us too. I don't believe there is now or ever was a shortage. Down the road the truth will come out.....

RE: Weird tire problem, have never seen thing like it before.

I would advise everyone to listen to the ABC report posted above in this forum. I think this should be posted at the beginning of each forum much like the recall notice on the fridg. .....John

Another bumper question

I have an 04 28 ft Nomad Scout. Love at first sight and still that way. I have been reading about the short comings of the bumper. The frame it is attached too looks kind of light and that might be the case with allot of units out there. I doubt all frames are equal but I could be wrong. Anyway, what are some of the ways used to modify the bumper to hold more weight? Pictures would be a big help here......thank you all......John

Eternabond use

Reading the forum this morning brought up a question. It seems several people have used this product and really like it. My question is: Who has used it as a preventive measure against leaks and where did you apply it?

RE: Problem w/Norcold Refrigerator on Propane

I am only making a guess. I think your battery has to be working in oder for your fridge to run on propane. I think it has to have that current to enable it to switch from house to propane and doing the same when you leave the camp ground and unplug from their service. If that is the case, check your battery.

RE: Installing a shower curtain!!

I just installed on a few days ago. I think it will be fine. I didn't even use the plastic wall inserts. I figured if I didn't hit something with the screws then I would try the inserts. It went well. I think as close to the ceiling as I went that I was pretty sure I would hit a stud of some type. Good luck...John

RE: Everybody likes fluffy white bunnies

I have never work camped. I would like to try it. Going in I would say. I don't have to work for it if I don't want too. I only want to do it because I like to be busy and I can't just sit around the camper all the time. I don't do it here at home so I know I couldn't do it on the road. Perhaps, for this reason I would not be much into negotiating some kind of fair wage. I hope this doesn't have a negative effect for those that do have to work while camping. I just want to try it and see how it works for me...........Thank you....John
